Kearney, Nebraska

An Evening with Deb Echo-Hawk
09-26-2008

Deb is speaking to the largest group to date at the Great Platte River Road Archway Museum

The event is in honor of Deb's work with the Pawnee Nation in Oklahoma and Ronnie O'Brien's Nebraska gardeners who have joined forces to reestablish ancient Pawnee crops.

Her presentation began with an artistic preformance (a song and a creative writing piece) which was well received by the attentive audience. Elements of her Power-point talk inlcuded not only the corn and the other seed crop projects, but also addressed the plans to build (several) future earth lodges in Nebraska and Pawnee, and introduced the Pani Arts Association.
