Mormon squash. It's Gene's theory that the Mormons got their squash while on their travels, likely from the Pawnees. Does anyone know the history of Mormon squash?

Roger had grown red and white striped corn. He didn't think he would have a crop this year but in the end he did.

A group shot of the Nebraska gardeners standing behind the 2008 seed crop and display. Lynn had help from her neighborhood. She grew blue corn, watermelon, and spotted-horse beans (pinto beans). Dawna grew watermelon with the help of students in Pawnee Unit of Boys and Girls Home of Kearney NE. Tami and McHale helped at the archway garden.
