Pawneeland, Nebraska

Gifted to the Pawnee Nation by Roger and Linda Welsch

Viewed from across the Loop River

Waterfront land just south of Dannebrog, Nebraska, on Hwy 58

This is a year-round, clean river with good fishing. The property has been maintained over the last number of years (by Roger Welsch) primarily as a tree farm. He has planted and nurtured several varieties of trees. He has yet to harvest any! There are also a few old-growth trees here and there. The Welsch's home is on this property. The Tribe has been deeded the land.

One immediate use the Tribe will have for this land is the reburial of our repatriated Pawnee ancestors. October 2008 will likely be the first ocassion for this to happen.
